Geely Panda to become electric polar bear

We've previously heard about a low-speed electric version of the precocious Geely Panda and, more recently, a Tobe-branded critter for Taiwan from a tie-up with Yulon Motors. Now comes word of a freshly-launched third version that will take its name from the Inuit word for polar bear, Nanoq, and that could be available in Europe as early as this spring. The drivetrain is being supplied by the Danish electric vehicle developer Lynx Cars with the lithium polymer batteries sourced from sister company Positive. Numbers for the Nanoq are as good or better than many of the other electrics coming onto the market this year with a top speed of 130 kilometers per hour (80 miles per hour) and a stated range of 200 kilometers (124 miles). The price is being reported by some in the Danish press as starting at 235,000 kroners ($45,530 U.S. at today's exchange rates). It's unclear whether the Nanoq will make it to the American market, but if it does, it might be found at your local Volvo dealership.

Although 0-60 times weren't given, we have hopes that the wildcat-powered bear is no sloth. The other vehicle that Lynx Cars is known for is a high-powered two-seater with Tesla Roadster-beating performance. Based on the Opel Speedster, that Lotus-built sportscar is said to possess 1,072 horsepower that will take it to 60 mph in under three seconds. Hit the jump to watch it take on the Tesla in the bonus video (with NSFW subtitles) that accompanies the press release.

Car Insurance Policies That Fit Your Needs

Because it is the law to have car insurance, it is important to purchase a policy that fits your need. Some policies can be expensive as it may include coverage that you do not need. There are various types of insurance policies that you should be aware of before you make your selection. It may seem a time consuming task to figure out what the various policies include. To make your insurance policy selection easier, below are a few tips on how to find car insurance policies that meets your needs.

1. It is important to understand the different types of insurance coverage available. Liability insurance will cover you in the event that you cause a vehicle accident and cause an accident. It provides coverage if another person sustains property damage and physical injury. Most states and provinces mandate set minimum liability insurance. Collision coverage is insurance that will cover you if your own vehicle is damaged and needs repair as the result of a vehicle accident. It is recommended for those who have valuable cars. Comprehensive coverage is insurance coverage that covers non-collision damage such as vandalism, theft, or damage from a storm. There is also Uninsured Motorist Coverage. This is coverage that covers you for damage an uninsured driver has when driving your car.

2. To find an insurance policy that fits your needs, you should first determine how much you can afford to pay for a plan. You have to have minimum liability coverage so it is important that the coverage you buy is enough to protect you. If you only have minimum liability coverage and you injure someone, your personal assets may be at risk. You have to determine how much you can pay out-of-pocket in the event of an accident. Most people will buy high liability coverage to ensure full protection. As well, if you have a car that is not worth very much and plan to replace it soon, you may want to forgo buying collision and comprehensive insurance. Remember, you are compensated for the Kelly Blue Book value of the car.

3. If you are looking to lower your insurance premium, make sure you take advantage of cost cutting incentives. For instance, increasing your deductible will lower your monthly insurance payments. It is important to make sure you can afford the deductible in the event of an accident. For example, if you have a car accident that results in $3000.00 damage, and you have a $500.00 deductible, you will be required to pay the $500.00 before the insurance kicks in. Increasing your deductible means you are taking on more risk, therefore your payments will be lower. Other discounts that may be offered to include low mileage discounts, anti-theft device discounts, multiple vehicle discounts, ‘green’ car discounts, safety feature discounts, and driving program discounts.

When you know all of the car insurance options available, the greater chance you have of purchasing a policy that fits your needs and ensures that you have the appropriate amount of coverage. When searching for car insurance, it is essential to compare at least three different policies from different insurance providers to ensure you are getting the best policy at the best price.

Writing Point of Views

Point of view typically dictate the lens from which a story is told. Details and thoughts to which your reader becomes privy to is typically dependent on whether you’re writing on the first, second or third person perspective.

When a writer starts to use his or her points of views that means they are trying to cope up and understand what the subject really means in order to give out their own idea about the topic. Sometimes, the term point of view is being abbreviated into POV and there are three types of it, the first person, second person and third person POV.

Writing an essay using POV may be a lot easier since the writer can turn to his or her own ideas about the issue. The problem is it can be also a bit troublesome if you don’t know how to convey your message in your essay with the use of these POVs. There are times that a writer doesn’t even know what type of POV he should use. I guess this is the perfect time to determine the appropriate POV for your essay that was assigned unto you.

If you’ve been looking to vary the overall feel of a piece you are creating, the point of view is one of the first things you should look at changing. When you write from a specific POV, the overall character of the narration is immediately subject for change that might go beyond what a typical correcting session using a writing software can offer.

First Person POV

On the first person, the narration is performed in the main protagonist’s own voice. If you want to write with a personal tone and to which all statements are tantamount to first-hand observations, this style is typically what you would like to write under.

This is where the writer uses the “I” voice in order to narrate his or her essay to the public. It also draws a lot of reader close to the narrator since they can even relate of put them on the shoes of the writer.

Second Person POV

In the second person, stories are told about the reader, referring to a protagonist as “You,” as has been successfully used in material such as the “Choose Your Own Adventure” series.

Third Person POV

The third person is typically written from the point of view of a third-party, detailing observation and report of events for the main protagonist’s. Usually, the writer uses a panoramic bird’s eye view about how his or her characters of the story will takes place in order to let the people visualize what the scenario is all about. This is commonly used for stories or novels or any scenes that uses a lot of characters just to run the passage.

A writer can also use all of these types of points of views or a combination of any of them. However, this is only applicable if your know how to set your writings in an organize manner and knowing the purpose of your topic.

Keep going the Conversation occupying

People often think that equalling a clever conversationalist stands for that you e'er birth something witty to say and can talk nonstop. Not much is farther from the truth.

Being a good conversationalist has everything to do with being a good listener.
The best way to keep the conversation interesting is to hone your attention completely on the person you is speech production to. Concentre your optical maser regard during the person you are speaking with to the exclusion of everyone else in the room.

The way to be the best conversationalist is to extend the individual you is speech-endowed to then they can talk and you can listen. This involves asking questions and then thoughtfully listening to their responses. Their responses may spark more questions on your part, but don’t make the other person uncomfortable with a series of questions.

Nobody wants to feel the pressure of a string of questions grilling them and forcing them alone to talk. It embodies not a interrogative sentence; them necessarily to live an dialogue, not a monologue on either part.

A few ways to become an interesting conversationalist also involve being an interesting person. This means reading at least three to five news articles a day and at least one book a week. Keep abreast of current events so you experience something absorbing to order on an conversation.

Famous beautiful women like Jackie O and Sophia Loren have both said they have thought close to engrossing fields of study to insert while conversation undoers before they have a meeting with others or a dinner party.

This is not contrived, it just makes sense. Maybe you want to discuss the latest book you read or the no. 1 box bureau movie that weekend or the in progress state of war inward Iraq or even the best way to shop for the holidays. Whatever it is, it is OK to think about a few subjects before you get around others.

If you sense there is no interest in this topic, you can always switch gears and speak about something else. But always have something interesting to talk about that is not you.

What do I mean?

The most boring conversationalist is someone who speaks about themselves. What they did that day, what they think about this, blah, blah, blah.

Turn it around and instead of talking about how cool you are to attend the latest art opening at MOMA, talk just about however conniving the newly French people impressionistic exposition embodies and which ones you like and why. Or you can talk about this fabulous new Cuban food restaurant you tried the other night and describe the food and ambience and what makes it so great.

One important thing to remember is what you talk about needs to be true. You need to be honest and real about your impressions. Don’t be pretentious in the hopes of impressing people. Maybe what you really want to talk about is how great the New York City hulks dallied the nighttime earlier and what incredible energy there was at the bar where you watched the game. That’s fine. It is all about being honest and interesting.

But remember, the number one, absolutely most important thing to remember in being a great conversationalist is to talk about anything EXCEPT you.
